Look at what may come to be
Look at me: before the feeling recedes
Before all that remains is the sound of the trees outside
Bouncing off the cave’s walls
Look with love. though silence be the only sign
When you question, in trust endure
The sky perpetuates its blue
The earth holds a spray of flowers, just for you
(From "Before Dawn: The Poetry of Sapardi Djoko Damono")
Just wanted to wish my lovely wife a very wonderful birthday. I love so many things about her. I still remember the day she sent me her picture through ICQ, long before we got married. I was mesmerized with her smile, her eyes, I still do. I love the way she love me, her compassion to others and the way she looks things differently. Hope your wishes come true dear.
Selamat ulang tahun sayy. Sehat selalu, murah rezeki dan diberi kemudahan buat segalanya.
I Love you!
Most audience agreed that main highlight from "Microsoft Virtualization 2008" event today would be "VMWare ESX vs Microsoft Hyper-V" session. For about 30 mins, a guy from Microsoft Indonesia enlighten us about their virtualization advantages above VMWare, complete with slides and comparison tables. Im not going to start a flame war in debate of which side is best but it’s rather weird that the giant from Redmond suddenly takes this virtualization thingy very seriously. Is it because VMWare already own 80% of the market so they have to hit ‘em directly in the face? From economics point of view its clear that Microsoft considered Virtualization is a matured technology and decided now is the shining time for them. But again, why so blatantly attacked competitor? As far as I know this is the first time Microsoft showed a side by side comparison in public.
I smell something fishy going on. Honestly that 30 mins session didnt convince me. I’m not going into details (you can browse around the net and decide for yourself) but to sum it up, it was: 1. Too many "arguable" statements 2. Misleading. I’m not a VMWare Fan Boy but I do use VMWare solution so I know what its like there. No offense Microsoft, I just don’t like
negative campaign. I can sure you that neither VMWare nor Microsoft can shove me around and telling me which is "THE" best virtualization solution that suits my environment. We can decide that later, in the mean time, just give us the facts and be real. Let the virtualization war begins!
p.s: @ the end Microsoft gave us a small plant for the sake of mother earth (pictured). I Salute you for this, honest.

GATE BOARDING….
PLEASE people…..BE PUNCTUAL FOR YOUR GATE….U know they dont put the boarding time on your boarding pass for FUN. Its there for a reason. Be SMART and RESPONSIBLE when you travel. Gate will close 20 mins b4 departure time.. Normally gate will open for passengers to sit in the waiting area 1hr b4 departure. So GENERALLY the time on your boarding pass states the time for gate open, unless stated otherwise. I completely understand u would rather spend your time outside the boarding gate, saying ur goodbyes or do shopping or sight seeing around the airport( tht is if ure in changi, other airports i dunno hahah!!) BUT be sure to report to the gate at least 40mins before ur schedule departure time. Because i tell you…they wont wait for you. You are responsible for your own punctuality. If you’re late….these are the things that could occur.

SHOPPING IN TRANSIT…….
Most passengers can continue to purchase liquids, aerosols and gels items, such as liquor, wine, beer, perfumes and cosmetics (including creams/lotions/gels).(CHECK WITH RESPECTIVE AIRPORTS B4 PURCHASING) Such purchases will be placed in sealed tamper-evident bags provided by the shops, with the receipt clearly displayed in the sealed bags.
If the items are in containers with a maximum capacity of not more than 100ml each, passengers may place these items in their 1-litre transparent re-sealable plastic bag, which must be completely closed, to be hand carried.
Are there any exemptions to the new restrictions on carriage of liquids, aerosols and gels in hand-carried luggage?
Exemptions will be made for medications, baby food and special dietary items in liquids, aerosols and gels form. These items will be subjected to additional checks at the security screening point.
What are the exemptions for baby food in liquids, aerosols and gels form?
Baby foods in liquids, aerosols and gels form, such as milk, juice and porridge, will be exempted from the restrictions, if there is a baby travelling with the adult passenger. Such items should be taken in quantities that are sufficient for the flight.
If the baby food is in containers with a maximum capacity of not more than 100ml, passengers are encouraged to place these containers in the 1-litre transparent re-sealable plastic bag. If this is not possible or if the baby food is in containers larger than 100ml, the baby food will be subjected to further checks at the security screening point. The baby must also be present at the security screening point. Passengers may also be asked to taste the baby food.
Is there a restriction on the amount of baby milk powder that can be carried in hand-carried luggage?
No. Milk powder is not considered a liquids, aerosols and gels item.
Can I carry hot water in a flask to prepare baby food?
Yes. Hot water will be allowed for carriage in a flask if there is a baby travelling with the adult passenger, even though hot water should be available from the airline onboard the flight. The hot water should be taken in quantities that are sufficient for the flight. It will also be subjected to further checks at the security screening point.

ok y’all….i hope all the explanatory explains itself…hehehhehe have a STRESS FREE HOLIDAY with DILLA’S STRESS FREE CONTRIBUTION TO TRAVEL SMART….
Two photo galleries online now: CHIP Reunion (96 photos), taken from Nenez’s and Patpat’s cam then Singapore Raya 08 (174 photos!), a bunch of snapshots here and there from Hari Raya celebration in Singapore. Lastly, added one more construction pic of Dilla’s School.

Yes I’m back in Singapore again. First day, Me, Dilla, My sister and Fitri (My Sis’ roommate) went to Hari Raya Bazaar in Geylang. One of Dilla’s cousin told me to visit Geylang for Hari Raya Bazaar there. "It’s quite a bazaar", he said. Dilla warned me it’ll be fully packed wif people, "a human traffic", and she doesn’t exagerate that. We met my sis and friend around 6 in Paya Lebar MRT and from there we can feel the crowd atmosphere built up. From the moment we crossed the street, its people everywhere..yay
It was quite a sight for sure, This yearly Bazaar is one of the unique event during Ramadhan in Singapore. The strecth of tents could go as far as few blocks from there. Practically you can find everything here from Baju Kurung till Cars, yep I’m no kidding. But the main attraction there is surely food.
Food and food everywhere. I’m sure everyone can find something that fulfill the hunger need here. It was almost break fast time and the crowd is crazy. Trust me, at this hour, dont even bother to find an empty seat in one of the coffee shop or restaurant there. But really it doesnt matter, a lot of people just break fast spontaneosly everywhere.
We bought Ramly Burger, drinks and sat down at the traffic light near Joo Chiat before continue to opposite blocks. I simly called e trip "a snack trip" cos along the way we bought my fave snacks like Keropok Lekor (I told my Sis it tastes like a fried pempek), Char Kuay (Like Indo Cakwe but wif Sotong on top, mixed wif spicy sour sauce and mayo), and Tako Balls. If I didnt concern about my belly I would’ve bought some more!
One of the most interesting device I had laid hands is Riverbed Steelhead. This appliance offers highest WAN performance thanks to their Wide Area Data Services (WDS) technology. It can deliver application to a LAN-like speed over WAN or branch office. The truth is after few months of testing I’m still amazed how did they do it. There are 3 main technology behind it: TCP optimization, bandwidth optimization and De-duplication. More of their products and technology can be found here. In general, Riverbed can save money on bandwidth usage and provide faster/reliable connection.
I had a chance to test 2 of their units: The 1020 and 200 model. I shall share you the testing report here so you have the idea of Riverbed performance. Btw I’m whatsoever NOT related to Riverbed or marketing guy so I sure you the report based on my experience only.
Riverbed 1020 Quick Test
For this test I set up a Linux PC with WAN Emulator, WANEm v1.2. This box acted as WAN while we can configure it to a different WAN model. A pair of Riverbed Steelhead Model 1020 connected in WAN Emulator box. My trusty notebook (Windows XP SP3) then pluged in as client and on the other side, a workstation PC served as server (Ubuntu Linux).
Using file sharing, a batch of files transferred from PC server to client. In this case I use 215 MB folder from OpenOffice installation. To determine the Steelhead’s performance, we timed each transfer process before and after optimization.

First ever Night Race in Singapore. But sadly, we couldnt get tickets because the cheapest of all was SOLD OUT…

I pass the booth everyday at work, So i promised myself i would get it for you when i get my pay. I hope you liked it.!!!!!!
LOVE YA…..
I shall share the problems faced by some passengers nowadays, that affects their well being and MINE at times. SO to avoid a lot of hassle in the airport here’s a few pointers before you start to travel, starting from….
The Check In Desks
People…PLEASE i know its electronic ticket…BUT u still have to produce it upon check in. BECAUSE it is still a ticket, even though the Check in Agent will not take it from you. ELECTRONIC TICKETS are available for you to print out at your own convenience from your notebook or PC.
There should be a ELECTRONIC TICKET NUMBER which is a 13 digit number. Please do not misunderstood an ITINERARY with ELECTRONIC TICKETS… Because people, they are 2 different things….
